Brighton Beach Boxes, Sandringham & The Pier Hotel

Jessica and Jason were married in a civil ceremony at the Rotunda on Sandringham Beach. After the ceremony, we shot family and group shots at the base of the rotunda overlooking Port Phillip Bay. We wandered down to Sandringham Beach for some shots with just the two of us. There is a lovely sweep to Sandringham Beach with some rocky outcrops that make for interesting shots within the images.

Our next stop was the Brighton Beach Boxes. The bathing boxes are so colourful… with a blues sky, there are images full of saturation and ‘pop’ all around.

Our last stop was at the reception at the Pier Hotel in Port Melbourne. It was my first visit to the Pier – I’m sure it won’t be my last. The decor is contemporary and interesting – it could have been designed by a photographer. Textures and colours are everywhere – it’s a great place to take interior shots for portraits and weddings. Jessica, Jason and I spent a lovely time together… they were a joy on the day.

Pre wedding photography – Don & Racheal

Don and Racheal - Pre wedding PhotographyDon and Racheal, met me in the city for a Sunday afternoon pre wedding shoot. Their wedding is happening later in the year in Malaysia and they wanted to take an album and photos along to reflect their life in Melbourne.

Racheal organised a makeup artist and hired a bridal gown specifically for the occasion. We started off in the Fitzroy Gardens, making use of the many opportunities that presnted themselves as we strolled around these beautiful gardens. From there, we headed off to the St Kilda Pier and the restaurant at the end of the pier. This location holds special memories for them both. After taking some shots over the water and on the beachfront, we headed down to Acland Street to their favourite cafe for a cuppa and some candid mood shots. A lovely day was had by all.

Eloping to Melbourne

chrismyChris and My came to Australia for their wedding with Australian Family. They arrived in Melbourne and stayed for the night at the Sandringham Hotel where I met up with them in the morning. We strolled down to Sandringham beach for a few quick shots before setting off to the Yarra Valley for the ceremony at Chateau Yering. The Yarra Valley abounds great photo opportunities, but the gardens of Chateau Yering require no assistance – they’re beautiful – especially with the onset of turning autumn leaves.

Alena & Dean – Sandringham to St Kilda

alenaanddeanAlena and Dean were married at the Rotunda on Sandringham Beach – the second time this week I had been to Sandringham for a wedding. After a beautiful ceremony on the top tier of the Rotunda, we went down to the beach for some shots and travelled down to St. Kilda to the Restaurant at the end of St Kilda Pier. We were lucky to get a beautiful sunset when we arrived in St Kilda. Here are some shots of the day.

Jessica and Jyh Melbourne Aquarium

Jessica and Jyh married in Sunbury, headed off to the Botanic Gardens in Williamstown and ended up at the Melbourne Aquarium for the wedding reception. I followed them all the way. We went from the country to the beach and back to Melbourne CBD. We all had a great time together travelling around town.
