Canon 135mm f2L
Wow. This lens is absolutely magic! I’m in love… Super sharp all the way to f2 with a deep buttery depth of field. It allows me to get far enough away from the subject to take great candid shots unnoticed. It’s wide aperture helps in hand held low light shooting, along with the Canon 5D Mark 11’s high iso sensitivity they make a great team for indoor and outdoor portraits. This lens is a part of every wedding photography and portrait shoot. It may well be the ultimate full frame professional wedding & portrait photography lens along with the 85mm f1.2L – A lens I have recently purchased and love.
Shannon & David – Southern Golf Club Keysborough
Shannon and David were married in a civil ceremony on the grounds of the Southern Golf Club in Keysborough. I arrived mid afternoon to get some shots with the boys and met up with Shannon when she arrived. The ceremony was really lovely on the golf course with all bathed in beautiful sunshine. I stayed until the reception and bridal dance. They are a charming couple and the pleasure was all mine!
Doki and Piya Wedding Photography
Doki and Piya were married at the registry office, Spring Street, Melbourne CBD. From there we visited the parks around town and managed to sneak into the Conservatorium in the Treasury Gardens for a couple of quick shots. We shot also at the Fitzroy Gardens, where here is a great row of tall trees – great for shots with converging lines. They had their wedding reception at Melbourne’s stately Windsor Hotel in Spring Street across from Parliament House. I have uploaded a few pages from their album for you to look at.
Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro Lens
This lens is a corker with a huge depth of field! It allows me to get a 1:1 ratio for photography of tiny things up close and personal. It can also be used as a fast glass portrait lens as it has “infinity” focus. Here are a few shots I took around the house for you to see. This lens is as sharp as a tack & I’d recommend it to anyone looking to get into macro photography.
Jessica and Jyh Melbourne Aquarium
Jessica and Jyh married in Sunbury, headed off to the Botanic Gardens in Williamstown and ended up at the Melbourne Aquarium for the wedding reception. I followed them all the way. We went from the country to the beach and back to Melbourne CBD. We all had a great time together travelling around town.
